Dozens of ENT specialists, family physicians, pediatricians and speech pathologists gathered this week in the conference hall at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center for a study day dedicated to innovations in ENT medicine.
The study day was opened by Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, who welcomed the participants and emphasized how committed the medical center's management is to strengthening the relationship with the community. Dr. Itzhak Braverman, Director of the ENT – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Unit presented innovations in the field of rhinology - sinusitis and nose polyps, along with innovative surgeries and new drugs. He also spoke about diagnostic methods and treatment of sleep apnea.

Afterwards, Dr. Galit Avior, Dr. Muhammad Taha and Dr. Greenblatt, senior physicians in the unit, presented innovations in complex ear surgery, new treatments for the Eustachian tubes, head and neck surgeries and more. Additionally, lectures were given by Dr. Yitzchak Shochat, a resident in the unit, who reviewed the new research in the field, and Dr. Ayelet Midbari, Director of the Pain Clinic, who spoke about treatment of ENT pain.
