A Healthy Meeting

At the meeting, similar to those organized by Hillel Yaffe for the past several years, the heads of the local authorities were updated about everything new that has happened this past year at Hillel Yaffe and were given a detailed explanation of the far-reaching health promotion activities run by the hospital in the region, for the benefit of the residents.

Medical Center Director, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, who opened the session, noted that the medical center is located in one of the fastest growing areas in Israel, and as such, requires additional resources in all fields: personnel, construction, infrastructure, hospitality, technology, and more, so as to be ready to provide the population with the services it needs.

During the meeting, the attendees enjoyed lectures about the new developments, by Prof. Boris Kessel, Head of Surgery Division, and Dr. Yaron Berkowitz, Head of Orthopedics Division.

The meeting ended with a productive discussion regarding avenues for future cooperation, and various suggestions were made on how to strengthen the hospital’s relationship with the community. An idea was also proposed to create a forum for heads of local authorities to promote health, which can help when approaching the relevant bodies to create additional resources for the hospital. The heads of the local authorities and the Hillel Yaffe administration, who attended the meeting, were in full agreement that cooperation is the best way to ensure the best possible health services for all the region’s residents.
