22 specialists and residents from various fields were recognized with awards for their outstanding teaching of students of the Technion's Faculty of Medicine. The prizes were awarded at a ceremony by the management of the Faculty, along with the administration of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, and in the presence of their coworkers and the families of those being recognized.
The Dean of the Technion's Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Elon Eisenberg, together with the Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Deputy Dean for Teaching-Based Appointments, Prof. Zohar Keidar, Head of Evaluation and Staff Development in the Teaching and Medical Education Unit, Dr. Racheli Nave, and a representative of the faculty’s medical students, Ms. Gal Beimel, conferred the certificates issued by the Faculty, along with a gift from the hospital.
The ten specialists were from the Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Anesthesia, Internal Medicine, Neonatal, NICU and Child Development Departments.

In his opening remarks, Deputy Director of the Medical Center, Dr. Alon Nevet, noted the fact that the partnership in research and teaching compensates for the physical distance between that academic institution and the hospital. He was joined by Prof. Eisenberg, who also noted the good relations between the hospital and its staff and the Technion’s Faculty of Medicine.
Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz emphasized that research and teaching have tremendous added value both in shaping and training of the future generation of physicians and in development, innovation and advancement of the quality of medicine, promoting the vision of the medical center.
At the end of the ceremony and after the group photo, the dean and his staff, along with the administration of the medical center, toured the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department, as six of its physicians earned places among the outstanding instructors, including Department Director, Prof. Motti Hallak.
