Yesterday, the Ministry of Health published its National Quality Indicators Report for the Israeli health care system, among all Israeli hospitals. Yet again, the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center has proven no less than excellent results in the indicators set for it. The report refers to 2019, before the coronavirus (COVID-19) period. In that year, the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center successfully met the required indicators, and achieved an average score of 9.97 out of 10. This score positioned it as one of the excellent hospitals categorized as large.
The review included checking indicators such as performance of hip surgery within 48 hours of arrival at the hospital, cardiac catheterization in under 90 minutes from arrival at the hospital, pain assessment in the recovery room, administration of antibiotics following a hysterectomy, caesarean section, colorectal surgery, and others.
