At the ceremony, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Elon Eisenberg, and his deputy, Prof. Zohar Keidar, together with Director of the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, and Chair of the Technion Medical Students Committee, Mr. Nikola Paze, presented the lecturers with certificates of merit from the Faculty together with a gift from the hospital and the Faculty of Medicine.
The 28 doctors were from the departments of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Cardiology, Pediatrics, Internal Medicine, Imaging, Orthopedics, ENT, and Neurology.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Eisenberg noted the fact that the lecturers were outstanding, that being outstanding was not to be taken for granted, and that it is a strategic asset for the hospital and the Faculty of Medicine at the Technion.

The Director of the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, added that the high level of teaching, alongside the rise in the number of academic appointments each year, plays an important part in the hospital’s activity, and that the fact that the doctors are actively involved in medicine in demanding professions alongside research and teaching is important and welcome, bearing great value, both regarding creating future generations of doctors as well as development and innovation in medicine.
The speakers also included the Chair of the Technion Medical Students Committee, Mr. Nikola Paze, who noted his personal experience as a student at Hillel Yaffe, and the great demand among the students for having their clinical rotations, and later internship periods, at Hillel Yaffe. He thanked the lecturers for their excellent work, which helps people become better doctors.
