Dr. Mickey Dudkiewicz, Director General of the Medical Center said: This is very important news for our patients. We are talking about an essential, life-saving medical service which will greatly contribute to the good health of the residents of the region. Two ECMO machines were generously donated by The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust

Shrapnel, not an eyelash

L., a Border Police fighter, who charged at the terrorist during the terrorist attack in Hadera, was hospitalized in Hillel Yaffe’s Orthopedics Department in mild condition. On the second day of his hospitalization, he felt stinging in his eye, and a medical examination showed he had been wounded by a piece of shrapnel. He was operated on by Dr. Ori Scheyer, a senior physician in the Ophthalmology Department, and the shrapnel which was deeply embedded in his cornea was removed
