The first day of preschool: A fifteen-month old baby choked on an apple

On the first day back at preschool a toddler from the Hadera area was brought to the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Unit after she choked on an apple which she had eaten in daycare. A doctor from the ENT – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Unit extracted the apple from the end of her pharynx

The Hillel Yaffe Medical Center is returning to elective procedures including non-urgent surgery, and is opening clinics and units, including the IVF Unit. The renewed activity will be accompanied by stringent observance of all Ministry of Health guidelines
