Launching a New Era (and Building) at Hillel Yaffe

Last Thursday, May 12, 2011, the new hospital building at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center was officially inaugurated. Attending this momentous event was Deputy Minister of Health, Hadera Mayor, senior Ministry of Health officials, donors and businesspeople and, of course, HYMC staff

A new internal medicine department: Internal Medicine D

Internal Medicine D joins the three existing internal medicine departments at the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, and will help relieve their extremely heavy patient load. The Deputy Health Minister on a visit to Hillel Yaffe Medical Center

The Deputy Minister of Health, Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, and senior members of the management of the Ministry of Health, visited the Hillel Yaffe Medical Center last week. Minister Litzman promised the Hospital's Director, Professor Meir Oren: "I will do all I can in order to provide solutions for the matters and the problems presented by the Hospital"

The woman in her 27th week of pregnancy was rushed to an emergency Ceasarean section. The twins were both healthy, but their mother's situation declined very quickly due to a massive hemorrhage. A multi-disciplinary team – and 107 transfusions – rapidly saved her life
