In addition to medical students studying in Israel, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center offers continuing clinical education for students studying at foreign institutions in OECD countries, as specified in the Ministry of Health circular that appears below. The hospital will accept medical students from overseas according to its capacity and in accordance with its required criteria.
Instructions for submitting an application for a rotation:
A. Submitting the application:

Students studying at institutions in OECD countries are required to submit the application to the Human Resources Department at:

Students may perform clinical rotations as follows:

Rotations in specialties other than internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and general surgery;

Rotations in internal medicine, gynecology, pediatrics and general surgery, the cumulative duration of which does not exceed 16 weeks in 2025, 14 weeks in 2026, 12 weeks in 2027 and 10 weeks in 2028, excluding rotations in these specialties that were performed during months outside the Israeli academic year and rotations that begin each day after 2:00 p.m.;

The hospital does not charge students for the rotations.

Please note that continuing education is provided for full weeks, scheduled in advance, on Sundays through Thursdays, between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., excluding Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.

Attach a current letter signed by the university where you are studying – and indicate your year of study out of the complete course of study. Without this form, you will not be registered.

After sending all required documents, your application will be reviewed with the department director by Dr. Amit Hochberg, coordinator for medical students studying abroad.
A response will be sent by email, including the date of arrival at the hospital to continue the registration process. The approval is only preliminary and is subject to completion of the onboarding process in the Human Resources Department.
B. Contacting Human Resources:
After receiving preliminary approval, you will need to submit the following forms:

Confirmation from the Health Office that you have received the required vaccinations - Part C confirmation.

Complete the questionnaire for obtaining a police criminal background check and send along with a photocopy of your ID card at least two weeks before the start of the rotation.

Confirmation of current payment from the National Insurance Institute or confirmation of personal accident/third-party insurance coverage from an insurance agent.

C. Onboarding of a student:
After completing the above process, schedule a date for onboarding, according to the rotation start date, which will be done in the Human Resources Department, including issuing a badge.
At the end of the onboarding process, the student will receive a Student Onboarding Confirmation form, which they will also use for subsequent rotations.
