Students - graduates of foreign universities

In addition to medical students studying in Israel, Hillel Yaffe Medical Center offers continuing clinical education for students studying at foreign institutions in OECD countries, as set out in the Ministry of Health circular that appears below.

 

As of January 2020, the cost of the continuing clinical education is NIS 300 a week.

 

Payment is made on the day of onboarding through the Research Fund, with Ms. Tali Shachar, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

 

Payment may be made by credit card or cash (checks are not accepted).

 

For onboarding in the department, go to Human Resources with the receipt (in addition to what appears below).

 

A. Submission of the application:

 

  1. Students studying in Hungary, Riga or Katowice are required to submit the application to the Human Resources Department at: [email protected]
  2. When contacting us, please provide the following information: 
    • First and last name - in Hebrew and English 
    • ID number, passport number/student no. 
    • E-mail 
    • Cellphone number 
    • What department you need to be in 
    • Specific dates - start date and end date, accordingly.
  3. Please note that continuing education is provided for full weeks, scheduled in advance, from Sunday through Thursday, between 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., not including Fridays, Saturdays and holidays.
  4. Attach a current letter signed by the university (certificate) from the university at which you are enrolled and indicate your year of study out of the complete course of study. Without this form, you will not be registered.
  5. After sending all the documents as required, your application will be reviewed with the department director, and we will e-mail you our answer along with the date on which you should come to the hospital to continue the registration process. The confirmation is only confirmation in principle and is subject to completion of the onboarding process in the Human Resources Department.

B. Contacting Human Resources:

 

After receiving the agreement in principle, you will need to submit the following forms:

  • Confirmation of having received the COVID-19 vaccine/having recovered from COVID-19. 
  • Confirmation of receipt of the vaccines required by the Health Office - Part C Approval (including MRSA test for those wanting to work in the surgery departments). 
  • Complete the questionnaire for obtaining a police criminal background check and send along with a photocopy of your ID card at least two weeks before the round begins. Click here for the form >> 
  • Confirmation from the police that the adult has no record of any sex crime (men only). Submit to the police with the attached reference and ID card - click here for the form >> 
  • Confirmation of current payment from the National Insurance Institute or confirmation of personal accident/third party insurance coverage from an insurance agent.

C. Onboarding of a student:

 

After receiving agreement in principle (Section A) and confirmation from Human Resources (Section B), schedule a date for onboarding, according to the start date of the round, which will be done in the Human Resources Department, including the issue a badge.

 

It is important to bring the receipt for payment according to the number of weeks.

 

At the end of the onboarding process, the student will receive a Student Onboarding Confirmation form, which they will also use for the next rounds.
