Meeting of pulmonary rehabilition workshop patients at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center
“With chronic lung diseases, the patient plays an important role in managing the disease. The main idea of this meeting is to provide patients with knowledge from a diverse array of fields that affect the course of the disease, so they can manage it better," said Yael Kirbs-Cohen, Physical Therapy Service Director, and Or Dadush, the physical therapist responsible for the pulmonary rehabilitation workshop. The workshop currently meets twice a week at Hillel Yaffe's Physical Therapy area.
"This is the first meeting, and I hope that many more will follow, and that we will be able to expand the service which is essential for many people," said Kirbs-Cohen. "I would like to thank everyone who takes part in the ongoing workshop activities and also played a role in the success of the meeting – Dr. Michael Kuchuk, Pulmonary Unit Director, Orit Chen Biton, Head Nurse of outpatient clinics, and her staff."
