"The idea behind the seminar was to hold an event that would connect the community with the hospital, while inviting department directors and physicians from other hospitals to engage in professional dialogue. There were excellent lectures from every field we work with – ophthalmology, allergy, pediatrics, sleep apnea, oncology and maxillofacial surgery," said Dr. Lev Chvatinski, senior physician in the ENT – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Unit at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, who was one of the day's organizers. "This is exactly what multidisciplinary work means, and in that sense, the seminar achieved its goal."
Throughout the day, diverse lectures were presented, including topics such as sinus surgeries and rhinology, plastic and functional nasal surgeries, biological treatments for chronic sinusitis with polyps, innovative treatments for loss of sense of smell (anosmia), advanced treatments for sleep apnea in children and adults, as well as combined sino-maxillofacial procedures.

The second part of the seminar featured a multidisciplinary professional panel discussion, with leading specialists from Hillel Yaffe and other hospitals, including Chairman of the Israel Rhinology Society, Dr. Tal Marshak, and senior physicians from peer medical centers. The panel addressed complex clinical cases and collaboration between units.
Prof. Itzhak Braverman, Director of the ENT – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Unit at Hillel Yaffe, stated, "Our main focus is collaborative care. We bring together all the specialties that relate to nasal and sinus medicine – ophthalmology, allergy, imaging, oncology, maxillofacial surgery – and integrate them to benefit our patients. We are doing everything we can to strengthen multidisciplinary medicine as the foundation for quality and precise care."
