The four main Ministry of Health Prizes for Excellence were awarded this year to four employees: Drora Ben-Michael - Director of Patient Admissions, Rinat Malka - Head Nurse of Invasive Cardiology, Prof. Motti Helek - Director of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Dr. Itamar Ashkenazi - Deputy Director of Surgery B Department.
Opening the event, Dr. Amnon Ben Moshe, Administrative Director of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center, said that the Prizes of Excellence are awarded to people who make the most of every available opportunity, who are determined to succeed in their position, who do not give up easily and who are not afraid of self-criticism.
His words were echoed by Prof Meir Oren, Director General of the Medical Center, who said, "The winners of the prizes thoroughly deserve them. Human resources are the medical center's most precious resource, and they are the key to its successful and ongoing operation, which is fully dedicated to the health of patients and their families." Prof. Oren also mentioned how important support from the staff's families is, and summarized by saying that both he and the management were proud of the outstanding employees, as well as of all of the medical center's employees and volunteers.
During the ceremony, organized by the Human Resources Department, the Hospital Chaplain lit the first Hanukkah candle and wished all those present a very happy Hanukkah. Various heads of committees also congratulated the prize winners.
