The purpose of the program is to encourage research and scientific writing, particularly among residents, given its importance in improving the level of medicine and knowledge among physicians.
The program is the initiative of the Training and Organizational Development Coordinator at Hillel Yaffe, Ms. Hadar Yahud, and the hospital's Scientific Library Director, Ms. Julia Kuperberg, and is headed by Cardiology Division Director, Prof. Ariel Roguin.
The program includes several meetings during which there are lectures on topics related to research, the importance of conducting research, access to and use of databases, the stages of research and how to get a study started.
The speakers at these meetings include: Director of the Surgery Division, Prof. Boris Kessel; Service Director in the ENT – Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery Department, Dr. Golda Greenblatt; Nephrology Institute Director and Helsinki Committee Chairperson, Dr. Noa Berar Yanay; Research Unit Director, Ms. Ilana Aloni, and more. There was a panel discussion with resident researchers and a brainstorming session on various research topics.
