Hillel Yaffe - Our Hospital, Our Future

Dear Friends,

I am reaching out to you with a deep commitment to your health and wellbeing and with great appreciation for Hillel Yaffe Medical Center – the government hospital that serves us all and provides the medical support we rely on and also serves as a regional trauma center. This is the medical center where all residents of the region come – children and adults, women and men, Jews and Arabs, longtime residents and new immigrants – and everyone always receives the finest medical care.

Our hospital serves a diverse population of over half a million residents. This population is expected to experience significant demographic growth in the coming decade, with the population of Hadera alone, the central city in the region, expected to double in size.

The wonderful growth of the entire region requires Hillel Yaffe to upgrade and modernize to enable it to remain at the forefront of medicine in Israel and continue to provide outstanding, life-saving care to us all.

Unfortunately, the government health care budget, on which the medical center relies, limits the hospital's ability to meet the challenges it faces, and therefore we must step up and help to the best of our ability.

Friends of Hillel Yaffe Medical Center was established to address this gap. The association is driven by volunteers who are deeply committed to the success of the medical center. Guided by the members of its Executive Committee, accomplished individuals in business, management and education, we are dedicated to giving back and volunteering.

We have set ourselves the goal of helping the hospital continue to improve the quality of medical care it provides, upgrade its facilities, lead in medical and technological innovation as well as attract and retain quality personnel, and support and foster community cooperation and involvement.

The dream of upgrading, innovating, attracting outstanding physicians and building essential infrastructure, as well as improving the inpatient experience, is already becoming reality, but we still have a long road ahead.
