About the clinic

The combined clinic for pregnancy and inflammatory bowel disease is run in conjunction with the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Department and the Gastroenterology Institute at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center. The clinic is intended for pregnant women who have inflammatory bowel diseases such as Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis as well as other gastroenterological problems and require special monitoring and support throughout pregnancy.

 

The clinic is dedicated to providing comprehensive, adapted and centralized medical care for pregnant women with inflammatory bowel diseases, bringing gastroenterology and high-risk pregnancy specialists under one roof.

 

Services provided include, among other things, combined monitoring by a gastroenterologist and high-risk pregnancy physician, adjustment of medication and biologic therapy during pregnancy, management of disease flare ups during pregnancy, consultation regarding type of delivery based on medical condition, and attention to unique pregnancy complications.
